Glebe Community Centre Wedding

One of the great things about being a wedding photographer is that it forces me to explore this city in a way I might otherwise not. And sometimes a wedding will bring me right to my back door, leading me to new discoveries in my own neighbourhood. This was the case a couple of months ago when I shot Rob and Stephanie's wedding reception at the Glebe Community Centre in Ottawa.

Now, the Glebe Community Centre, for those who aren't familiar with it, is a fairly large hall--one that can be a bit of a challenge to shoot. My wedding couple was slightly concerned that their relatively modest wedding party might make the hall appear empty. But I seriously think that the amount of energy they brought into that hall, the color, the emotion they exhibited, all made that cavernous hall seem full on that evening. And hopefully I've created photos that show this.

(Thanks so much to Julia S. for assisting me during the wedding)
